the other night i ended up dropping acid very late in the night
i was already slightly tripping on shrooms, but just a nibble
i was at a forest party, enjoying my enviroment to the fullest
i ended up going into my tent and somehow, someway, fell asleep right as lucy was REALLY starting to show her presence.
ive never been able to fall asleep while on a psychedelic, but this time i feel into such a deep and calming sleep almost instantly
right as i was starting to incline.
i opened my eyes the next morning to find everything swirling around intensely for a few moments..
then all the visuals abrubtly stopped and i was left with just a sort of body high and a light headed feeling.
i wanted so badly to remember my dream, i knew i had one thats for sure... but i couldnt remember.
now heres where it gets a little weird...
ever since that night, (2 nights)
everytime i fall into subconcious i fall into a DEEP ASS INTENSE dream.
very long.
very vivid.
i remember almost everything.
and the dream as a whole is very detailed and, like always, symbolic.
each dream that ive had since then, has been based around the same theme.
running away.
in both dreams ive been on the run from something inside me.
I make these mental decisions that something in my life, the direction that its going isnt right.
and so throughout my whole dream i end up going on some savage ass missions with the objective to change my lifes direction.
ive run into people that end up being key characters in my dream
guiding me and or helping find whatever it is im looking for
these dreams are definitley some of the most intense ass dreams ive ever had,
and the longest.
i almost cant wake up, no matter how long ive been sleeping.
my friend told me i was snoring the other night,
i never ever have been one to snore. its just not something my body does.
but the past few nights i have been, indecading to me that im in a very deep state of subconcious.
all this is super intriguing to me, and i would like to hear about anyone else who has experienced something along these lines.
or anything at all to do with dreaming throughout your whole acid trip
feedback? :D

Re: LSD Dreams
Tue, August 12, 2008 - 2:19 PMhello Lauren . .
Leaving california with a head full of acid getting onto an airplane with a ganja brownie in my pocket.
(Strange experience that was)
Eating the brownie on the swirly plane it knocked me out. Hadn't slept the night before either.
Well, I immediately woke up in my dreams.
I was on a planet. It was so small I could run around it in a minute or two.
Just a grassy, beautiful small planet.
"Wow!" I thought . .
I was gazing up at a red balloon that was hovering. I was making this balloon hover. But why?
It was the altar of concentration.
When I would lose focus, the balloon would fall.
I didn't want to lose focus, so I played with the balloon for a while.
Skies so blue on my little planet.
I played, tripping on acid, in my dreams for the entire plane ride.
It was some of the most fun I've ever had in my life . .
After a few hours I realized I forgot about the red balloon! So I ran over to find it lying on the ground, and i couldn't make it hover anymore . .
That's when I heard
"This is your captain speaking . ."
And was awake.
Sober.

Aldus Huxley had his wife inject hundreds of micrograms of LSD intravenously while he was dying.
As he slipped away, his face lit up,
and he entered the subconscious realms ALERT, and AWARE.
That's what LSD does.
It wakes you the fuck up,
even when your brain is operating @ sleepy frequencies.
Love,
ik

Re: LSD Dreams
Fri, August 22, 2008 - 8:53 PMOne of the challenges with psychedelics is that they may unveil more reality than one bargained for. That's why it's best to set aside a day before to prepare and a day or two after to integrate the experience. When people encounter more information than they can handle, the subconscious deals with it in various ways (such as going into shock after a trauma or fainting from fear). I've seen people vomit violently, sweat profusely, and enter delusions from not being able to cope with LSD's effects. Sounds like falling asleep was the healthiest thing you could do since forcing yourself to stay awake might have induced fatigue and an unrewarding experience. I think it just shows that you listen to what your body says instead of fighting it (a blessing!). When life serves up a hefty enough portion of novelty it's best to be more mindful about using powerful entheogens, otherwise we might overload the body, mind & soul.
Dreams, trips, altered states are all facets of the jewel that is consciousness, portals to the infinite depths of the self. There is no end to discovering useful information by meditating on one's visionary perceptions and subconscious wisdom. So as per your 'running away' dreams, ponder them with light heart or even humor if possible. In time both dreams AND 'reality' become integrated into the greater adventure of existence.
While I don't think I've ever fallen asleep during acid, psychedelics definitely can have a profound effect on your dreams (especially DMT) . One can encounter strange alien languages, technology and cryptic symbology with undeniable yet unknown meaning, remarkable synchronicities may occur perhaps even extending into precognitive dreams, and the dream-state metaphors and journeys presented may bear a staggering amount of meaning on a very large-scale. Those realistic epic psychedelic dreams may be whispers of the dynamic shamanic ontology that surrounds us and exists in us and which we may one day be able to navigate.
